2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid
2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid
Nissan's most popular vehicle in North America now comes as a hybrid, and the 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid takes a different route than most hybrid SUVs. It uses Nissan's e-POWER system, where a gasoline engine charges a battery and electric motors alone turn the wheels. This all-new model brings standard dual-motor all-wheel drive, 225 horsepower of total system output and a Nissan-estimated 6.2 L/100 km combined rating for the SR grade. The cabin adds physical climate buttons, Zero Gravity seats and rear doors that swing open nearly 90 degrees. Around Hamilton, that quiet electric drive suits stop-and-go traffic on Main Street as well as the climb up the Mountain on the Claremont Access. The SR grade is scheduled to reach Plaza Nissan in fall 2026 in limited quantities, with the SV, SV Premium and Platinum following in early 2027.
What's new on the 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid?
Exterior
Nissan's designers worked from a theme they call "Refined and Tough." Up front, a hexagonal honeycomb grille sits flush with the LED headlights, and the same hexagon shape flows into the available signature running lamps. Those lamps follow a two-three layout, a nod to the Japanese words ni (two) and san (three) that form the brand name. Chrome is kept to a minimum, replaced by flush, clean surfaces. Minimum ground clearance is 214 mm (8.4 in) on SV and 215 mm (8.5 in) on SR and Platinum.
The body measures 4,650 mm long, 1,850 mm wide and 1,720 mm tall on a 2,705 mm wheelbase. Chiselled fenders and sharp creases rise from the lower body, and the C-pillar forms a triangle inspired by Mount Fuji, with a small cloud motif tucked behind the glass. SV models ride on 18-inch alloy wheels, while SR and Platinum step up to 19-inch machine-finished designs. At the back, an available full-width LED tail light crosses the liftgate, its fine pattern growing larger toward the edges. Three new colours join the palette: Horizon Blue Pearl Metallic, Alpine Metallic and Aurora Dune Pearl.
Interior
Soft-touch materials and stitching cover the main surfaces, and the design team limited piano black trim, choosing durable matte finishes where hands land most. Physical buttons handle temperature, fan speed and airflow, plus the heated and available ventilated front seats. The storage bin under the front cupholders has a larger opening than before, which makes it easier to drop in a purse or bag. On Platinum, the quilting pattern on the seats, console and trim takes its inspiration from down jackets.
Seating is for five, and every Rogue Hybrid includes Zero Gravity seats in the front and rear outboard positions to support natural posture on longer drives. Rear doors open nearly 90 degrees, and five LATCH anchors let you install a child seat in the centre position. Behind the rear seats, the cargo area holds 880.7 L, growing to 1,866.1 L with the 60/40 split seatback folded. Acoustic laminated glass, improved door sealing and reshaped mirrors help keep noise out of the cabin, a welcome trait during a QEW commute toward Burlington.
Technology
Entertainment
SV models come with a 12.3-inch NissanConnect touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. SR and Platinum upgrade both screens to 14.3 inches and add Google built-in with Google Maps, Google Assistant, the Play Store and Google Gemini. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard across the lineup. A 15-watt Qi2 magnetic wireless charger is available, and Platinum gets two. Platinum adds a 10-speaker Bose Premium Audio system and a head-up display.
Safety
ProPILOT Assist is standard, now using a new front radar, a front camera with a 20% wider field of view and updated software. Intelligent Cruise Control offers four following distances and detects slowing or stopped vehicles 33% sooner than before. SR and Platinum add Auto Lane Change, which works on divided highways between 60 and 137 km/h, and Hands-off Traffic Jam Support for low-speed congestion. Standard safety includes Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian, Cyclist and Intersection Assist, Blind Spot Warning and Intervention, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Lane Departure Warning with Intelligent Lane Intervention.
Powertrain
Two electric motors do all the driving. The front motor produces 202 horsepower and 243 lb-ft of torque, and the rear motor adds 134 horsepower and 144 lb-ft. Dual-motor all-wheel drive is standard and constantly shifts torque between the axles, and it can lightly brake an inside wheel for tighter cornering. The e-Pedal feature lets the driver slow to a full stop by lifting off the accelerator, and Smooth Stop eases brake pressure at the end of a stop. A drive mode selector offers Standard, Eco, Sport, Off-Road, Snow and Personal settings. Properly equipped, the Rogue Hybrid can tow 680 kg (1,500 lbs).
